• New classes for preschoolers include: Spanish for Preschoolers, at 10 a.m. Thursdays, April 7-May 19; Clay Play With Me at 9:30 a.m. Saturdays, April 9-May; Mom & Me Ballet, at 1:15 p.m. Saturdays April 9-May 28; JumpBunch Sports & Fitness, at 10:45 a.m. Mondays, April 11-May 16.
• A variety of ceramics classes are available: Teen Ceramics for ages 14-18, at 6:45 p.m. Mondays April 4-May 23; Adult Ceramics, at 6 p.m. Tuesdays April 5-May 24; Adult Open Studio Ceramics, at 10 a.m. Saturdays April 9-May 28.
• Occupational therapist Maxine Haller will offer two parent/child programs this spring. Importance of Movement program will look at the normal development of children birth through age 6. It will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 23. The second program is a Movement-based Reflex Integration Group, which will be offered in one of three sessions based on the needs of the child. Children age 6-13 and a parent will meet with an occupational therapist to determine the appropriate course. The first session will begin in early April.
• Residents can have documents shredded and disposed of in a safe manner from 10- a.m. to noon Saturday, April 16, at Hoff Woods Park. This free service is offered by the department in partnership with Fireproof Record Center. The limit is five boxes per household.
• The Spring/Summer Parks and Recreation Department brochure has been delivered to residents and is available for pick-up at various locations, including the Westerville Community Center, Westerville Senior Center, Westerville City Hall, Westerville Public Library, Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Westerville Visitors and Convention Bureau; as well as online at www.westerville.org.
