St. Augustine's Anglican Church in Blendon Township will host a neighborhood event to raise awareness and support for pets from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Northeast Conference Center, 4140 Executive Parkway.

St. Augustine’s Anglican Church in Blendon Township will host a neighborhood event to raise awareness and support for pets from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Northeast Conference Center, 4140 Executive Parkway.

The theme of the event is “Paws for Pets.”

Kevin Maney, the priest at St. Augustine’s, will bless pets who attend. Dr. Ann Bancroft, a certified veterinarian in Integrative Medicine from MedVet, will answer questions about injured and older pets, and provide tips on pet wellness.

Donations will be collected for Pets Without Parents Animal Shelter in Columbus. Current needs include kitty litter, puppy food and/or newspapers.

All pets should be on leashes or in carriers.

St. Augustine’s Anglican Church is a newly-formed congregation in Blendon Township, and meets in the Northeast Conference Center on Executive Parkway each Sunday at 10 a.m. For more information, e-mail staugustines@staugustinesanglican.org.
