The Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce’s largest fundraiser will celebrate its silver anniversary this year.

The 25th annual Evening of Elegance will be at 6 p.m. Nov. 11 at Villa Milano, 1630 Schrock Road.

The chamber has not named a theme for his year’s black-tie-optional event, instead focusing on celebrating its 25th anniversary. However, the chamber also is not revealing ahead of time just how the anniversary will be honored.

“We don’t want to give things away. We’re just doing small things here and there,” said Erin Glaser, chamber marketing and communications coordinator.

For the second year, the Evening of Elegance will feature a photo booth, sponsored by Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center, and event organizers are encouraging attendees to participate as a way to remember the 25th anniversary.

This year’s Evening of Elegance also will feature an “after party,” with music provided by Hypersounds Entertainment. Glaser said the hope is that people attending the event will take the opportunity to get up and dance after dinner.

“We really want people to stick around,” Glaser said. “There aren’t many events for people to get all dressed up.”

As always, the Evening of Elegance will feature both live and silent auctions.

Items to be auctioned include golf, ski, baseball and sports entertainment packages, fine jewelry, holiday décor, tools, electronics, health and beauty items, fitness items and travel and hotel certificates.

The live auction once again will feature a one-year lease of a new Honda Accord SE from Roush Honda. This year, the winner will be able to choose the color of the car.

The chocolate candy raffle will be featured again this year at the event, giving guests the chance to purchase a bag of chocolate from Chocolaterie Stam for an opportunity to win one of three pieces of jewelry valued at more than $800.

The Evening of Elegance is open to the public. Tickets cost $65 per person or $700 for a corporate table of 10, which includes table signs, Bidder’s Guide listing and two bottles of wine at the table.

The price of admission includes dinner, bidding on the auction items and entertainment.

Proceeds from the event help to support chamber operations and chamber and local charities.
