A business in the 600 block of West Schrock Road is missing a television and gaming console after being burglarized.

According to Westerville police reports, the owner of the business returned to work the afternoon of Aug. 19 to find the rear door pried open. When he went inside, he found that someone had taken a 42-inch television, a PlayStation 3 console and games.

A storage room also was found ransacked but nothing else was reported missing.

Police planned to review security camera footage, reports said.

In other recent incident reports from the Westerville Division of Police:

* A science teacher at Westerville South High School , 303 S. Otterbein Ave., reported a laptop stolen from her classroom sometime during the summer.

According to police reports, the laptop was on a cart and in a locked supply room, but the teacher was later informed items were moved while the room was cleaned during summer break.

School security footage for the time in question already has been erased and police found no signs of forced entry.

* A Westerville woman reported a $1,500 bicycle was stolen from her garage in the 1200 block of Belle Meade Place sometime between Aug. 15 and 16.

According to reports, the woman's mother was house-sitting while she was out of town and forgot to shut the garage door overnight.

Officers checked various databases to see if the bicycle had been pawned, but had no luck.

* An employee of a restaurant in the 900 block of North State Street reported someone broke his car window while he was working.

According to reports, the victim went to his vehicle about 4 a.m. Aug. 21 and discovered the passenger door window had been shattered. Nothing was reported stolen from the vehicle.
