The program is based on Gottfried Helnwein's painting, Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

The painting is an American pop reinterpretation of Edward Hopper's Nighthawks, which shows five people sitting in the same lonely, late-night diner.

In Helnwein's version, the people featured include Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Humphrey Bogart and James Dean.

They are trapped in the diner, unable to leave because of society's memories.

The styles of dance during the program will reflect the music associated with each of the icons.

The songs will include Jailhouse Rock, Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend and Born to be Wild, among others.

The one-act dance piece was conceived and choreographed by Stella Hiatt Kane, Otterbein's resident choreographer.
