The donation will allow the district to support the equine-assisted learning and therapy program provided through PBJ Connections.

PBJ Connections works with students who are struggling behaviorally. Sessions focus on communication, grief, anger management and behavioral regulation. Middle and high school pupils meet twice a month for 10 months.

* Alcott Elementary School students joined forces Sept. 23 for the school's annual Walk-A-Thon to collect money for the Alcott PTA.

Pupils raised donations of nearly $12,000 by walking at the track at Westerville Central High School. All participants were presented with a T-shirt.

Money raised will allow the PTA to support the school with such things as Chromebooks, library books and COSI on Wheels. Event sponsors included the Alcott PTA, Shirck Orthodontics, Debbie Reichert Fitness, Suzanne McConnaughey, Sensational Sounds Unlimited, Klein Heating & Cooling, Koenig Pro Painting, James Robert John and Katie Lesmerises.
