To celebrate the opening of its new 46 N. State St. location, Whit's Frozen Custard will host a ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration Saturday, Nov. 21. The shop will offer $2 cones all day, and will hand out "sampler" cones from noon to 1 p.m. of vanilla, chocolate or the flavor of the week.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony takes place at 12:30 p.m.

Owned by Bob Boyd Auto co-founder Boyd Fackler, the location is the 26th for the frozen custard franchise. Most stores are in Ohio and about 10 are in central Ohio.

The Westerville location is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Whit's will close between Dec. 21 and Jan. 1, and return for Friday, Saturday and Sunday hours through January.
