A 34-year-old Westerville woman was arrested Aug. 1 after allegedly assaulting her boyfriend.

A 34-year-old Westerville woman was arrested Aug. 1 after allegedly assaulting her boyfriend.

According to reports, when police responded to a call on the 700 block of Birmingham Road about 4 a.m., they found the man bleeding from his face.

The man said he had been punched by the woman 12 times, and had lost two teeth in the process, pulling one of his teeth out while talking to officers.

The man claimed the woman had been drinking and had hit him in a dispute.

He said he told the woman he was "tired of doing crack," and she became angry and punched him.

The man claimed he had been assaulted by the woman before, and wanted to press charges because "... he was tired of incidents like this occurring." He also told police they could find drugs and drug paraphernalia in the woman's vehicle.

When officer checked the vehicle, they found a suspected crack pipe and a bag with white residue.

The woman was arrested on charges of assault, domestic violence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

* A Westerville resident reported someone broke into his garage and stole a variety of lawn and garden equipment.

According to reports, the man found the door to his garage open on the morning of July 31 at his home on the 500 block of South Sunbury Road.

Power tools including a chain saw and a riding lawn mower were missing, and officers on the scene found some traces of hand prints. The investigation is ongoing.

* A 51-year-old Westerville man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a juvenile during a basketball game on the 300 block of North Cleveland Avenue.

According to reports, the man shoved the juvenile during a game.

When the boy said he would bring his father back with him, the man allegedly said he would be waiting with a gun, according to reports.
