* Every Child Ready to Read, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 25 at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital, 500 S. Cleveland Ave. Parents and caregivers of children ages 2 and younger and expectant parents can learn about the basics of brain development. Led by library staff. To register, call 614-898-6667.

* College Ready: Finding Scholarships, 2 to 2:45 p.m. Aug. 27 in the Activity Center. Participants can find scholarships using the library's Funding Information Network subscription. Ages 14-18. Registration required.
