Richard R. Zitzke has been appointed by the City of Whitehall to serve on the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) Board of Trustees.

Richard R. Zitzke has been appointed by the City of Whitehall to serve on the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) Board of Trustees.

Zitzke has served as the chief of police for the city of Whitehall since 2006. He has been a full-time police officer since 1980.

Zitzke holds a certificate of law enforcement education from the University of Virginia, an associate degree in law enforcement from Columbus State Community College and a bachelor's degree in public safety management from Franklin University.

The COTA Board of Trustees'13 members represent Franklin County and the cities of Columbus, Bexley, Dublin, Gahanna, Grandview Heights, Grove City, Hilliard, Reynoldsburg, Upper Arlington, Westerville, Whitehall and Worthington.
