Franklin County Public Health, immunization clinics, 9:40 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month in 2015 in council chambers at Whitehall City Hall, 360 S. Yearling Road. The next clinic is set for Dec. 23. Appointments are required; call 614-525-3719. Required childhood immunizations are available to those who have no insurance for a $15 fee per shot; however, uninsured children will not be turned away. Cash or check is accepted as is Medicaid, CareSource, Buckeye, Paramount, UHC Community and Molina.

Creating and Remembering, a writers group of individuals who enjoy journaling, writing poetry, engaging in creative writing, writing memories or accounts of local history, 7 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of the month (except December) at Brookwood Presbyterian Church, 2685 E. Livingston Ave. The group is co-led by Helen Reed, who has journaled for many years and has published her own memories, and Rubee Moxley, who has written and published poetry as well as short stories. Medicare Counseling, 2:30 to 4 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at Wexner Heritage Village, 1151 College Ave. Additional sessions are available from 10 a.m. to noon on the first Wednesday and the third Monday of each month. Enrollment options, prescription drug plans and their benefits, Medicare Advantage plans, financial assistance programs for people with limited incomes and long-term care insurance will be discussed. The free, confidential, one-on-one service is being offered in partnership with the Ohio Department of Insurance's Senior Health Insurance Information Program.
