Whitehall police reported a 36-year-old man was stabbed at 2:20 a.m. April 16 outside his residence in the 4200 block of Medway Avenue.

Whitehall police reported a 36-year-old man was stabbed at 2:20 a.m. April 16 outside his residence in the 4200 block of Medway Avenue.

Police arrived and found a man had been stabbed on the right hand, right calf and right knee. He was transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center. The victim told police two people attacked him: one he could identify and the other unknown to him, according to police reports.

According to witnesses, the victim and the known suspect began fighting in the street after numerous people convened at the house. The incident reportedly followed a domestic problem at a bar earlier the same evening.

During the fight, two men held the victim to the ground while the unknown man stabbed him, police said.

Both suspects fled in a vehicle, police said.

Officers collected physical evidence at the scene and issued an arrest warrant for felonious assault for the known suspect involved in the attack.

Police responded to a report of a fight between employees and a man later identified as Canada. One store employee and a security officer confronted Canada for allegedly stealing merchandise. Canada reportedly punched one victim and bit another on the right shoulder.

At the police station, Canada told officers he steals to support a drug habit and delivers the merchandise to carryouts in Columbus that provide him lists of items to steal, according to reports.

* Police arrested a 24-year-old woman for assault and a 28-year-old woman for aggravated menacing and endangering children at 7:20 a.m. April 15 at an apartment in the 5300 block of Great Oak Way.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the apartment where multiple people, including children, were present. A fight between two women occurred after a disagreement about getting children ready for school, according to reports.

* Police arrested two boys, ages 15 and 13, for assault April 17 in the 4200 block of Doney Street.

Officers responded to a report of a group of boys harassing a girl near Beechwood Elementary School, 455 Beechwood Road. The boys alleged shoved two girls off their bicycles and took the bike. The boys returned the bikes, but one was damaged, police said.

When located by police, one of the boys admitted taking a bike but reiterated he had returned it; the second boy gave a similar account, and each boy blamed the other for the reported assault, according to reports.

* Police reported a robbery at 4:45 p.m. April 19 in the 4600 block of East Main Street.

* Burglaries were reported at 10:40 p.m. April 14 in the first block of Fairway Boulevard; at 12:30 p.m. April 15 in the 3700 block of Doney Street; at 8:15 a.m. April 16 in the first block of Fairway Boulevard; at 2:25 p.m. April 16 in the 4200 block of Rickenbacker Avenue; at 12:40 p.m. April 16 in the 100 block of Collingwood Avenue; at 8:45 p.m. April 16 in the first block of Woodcliff Drive; at 10:35 a.m. April 17 in the first block of Midcliff Drive; at 11:45 a.m. April 17 in the 1000 block of Bernhard Road; and at 12:40 p.m. April 20 in the 4200 block of Doney Street.

* Thefts were reported at 10:20 a.m. April 16 in the 300 block of Beechtree Road; at 3:45 p.m. April 16 in the 4500 block of Saint Anthony Lane; at 7:25 p.m. April 16 in the 4800 block of Langley Avenue; at 10:05 a.m. April 18 in the 4200 block of Rickenbacker Avenue; at 2:20 p.m. April 18 and at 8:30 a.m. April 21 in the 700 block of Valerie Lane; and at 9:35 a.m. April 20 in the 4500 block of Saint Anthony Lane.

* Police reported assaults at 6:25 p.m. April 17 in the 4200 block of Rickenbacker Avenue; and at 7:45 p.m. April 19 in the 4400 block of East Broad Street.

* Vehicles were reported stolen at 4:35 p.m. April 14 in the 4200 block of East Broad Street; at 11:45 p.m. April 15 in the 1000 block of Fountain Lane; and at 8:05 p.m. April 17 in the 800 block of South Hamilton Road.

* Property destruction was reported at 12:35 a.m. April 16 in the 4200 block of Rickenbacker Avenue; at 5:50 a.m. April 16 in the 100 block of North Yearling Road; at 9:45 a.m. April 17 in the 4100 block of Ural Avenue; at 11:55 a.m. April 17 in the 200 block of Beechtree Road; at 6:30 p.m. April 17 in the 5000 block of Winslow Drive; at 7:40 a.m. April 19 in the 1000 block of Ross Road; and at 8:25 a.m. April 21 in the 1000 block of Fountain Lane.
