Whitehall police arrested a 31-year-old man for aggravated menacing, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia after responding to a report of a disturbance at 6:30 a.m. Dec. 10 at Speedway, 4790 E. Broad St.

The man reportedly threatened to shoot an employee and refused to leave the store.

Officers arrived and asked the man to leave. He complied and, upon questioning, told them he had "been drinking most of the night and into the morning," according to reports.

The man was arrested and was found in possession of a glass crack pipe with residue on it, reports said.

In other recent Whitehall police reports:

* Police responded to a five-vehicle crash at 4:40 p.m. Dec. 10 at East Main Street and Country Club Road caused by a motorist who reportedly fled from a Franklin County Sheriff's deputy after a traffic stop outside Whitehall.

Two people were transported to Mount Carmel East Hospital and the suspect was taken into custody.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is expected to charge the driver with OVI, failure to comply with police and additional charges, according to reports.

Four of the vehicles sustained heavy damage and a fifth vehicle had moderate damage, police said.

Witnesses reported a sixth car also was involved but left the scene.

That vehicle, which sustained minor damage, later was located.

According to police, the suspect was driving west on East Main Street and ran a red light at Country Club Road, striking a southbound car in the intersection.

Other vehicles that had been traveling east on East Main Street but stopped at the light were damaged when the two vehicles that collided spun out of control, according to reports.

* Burglaries were reported at 1:20 p.m. Dec. 11 at an apartment in the 4600 block of Eastway Court; at 9:50 a.m. Dec. 12 in the 700 block of Valerie Lane; and at 10:45 a.m. Dec. 15 in the 4700 block of East Broad Street.

* Thefts were reported at 2:15 p.m. Dec. 11 in the 900 block of Harbinger Circle West; at 1:20 p.m. Dec. 12 in the 3800 block of East Broad Street; at 4:20 p.m. Dec. 12 in the first block of Robinwood Avenue; at 9 a.m. Dec. 13 in the 100 block of Woodcliff Drive; and at 8:20 p.m. Dec. 13 in the 4300 block of Chandler Drive.

* Assaults were reported at 2:25 a.m. Dec. 10 in the 3500 block of East Main Street; at 1:25 a.m. Dec. 11 in the 4000 block of East Main Street; at 6:55 p.m. Dec. 12 in the 4300 block of East Main Street; and at 9:40 a.m. Dec. 14 in the 100 block of South Yearling Road.

* Police arrested two men, ages 59 and 36, and a 34-year-old woman for receiving stolen property at 5:20 p.m. Dec. 12 in the 500 block of Beechwood Road.

* Property destruction was reported at 2:20 a.m. Dec. 10 in the 500 block of Westphal Avenue; at 3:25 p.m. Dec. 12 in the 4700 block of East Main Street; and at 3:35 p.m. Dec. 13 in the 4000 block of Beechcreek Road.

* Vehicles were reported stolen at 1:50 p.m. Dec. 13 and at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 14 in the 1100 block of South Hamilton Road; and at 9:20 a.m. Dec. 15 in the 4000 block of Rickenbacker Avenue.

* Police responded to reports of shots fired at 11:35 p.m. Dec. 11 in the 100 block of Midcliff Drive; and at 8 p.m. Dec. 12 in the 1100 block of Irongate Lane.
