γ Old Worthington Library's Morning Book Discussion Group will meet at 10:30 a.m. today (Aug. 27) to discuss Marilynne Robinson's "Gilead." In 1956, as the Rev. John Ames approaches the end of his life, he writes a letter to his young son chronicling three previous generations of his family, a story that stretches back to the Civil War and reveals uncomfortable family secrets.

γ Speaking Volumes, Old Worthington Library's evening book discussion group, meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2. The book will be "The Heretic's Daughter" by Kathleen Kent.
