The Wilson Hill "Energy Ninjas" won third place in the elementary division for the "Spinning A Tale" challenge at the 2011 Destination Imagination Regional Tournament held earlier this month at River Valley High School.

The regional tournament drew over 150 teams from central Ohio, each competing in their choice of one of five challenges.

The Energy Ninjas' challenge required them to develop a circular play in three acts demonstrating knowledge of energy cycles.

The Energy Ninjas started work on their challenge in November 2010.

They researched energy cycles that occur in the world in order to develop their play.

They designed their costumes, their props and their set.

The set is called a "DIcycler" and changed during each of the three acts and for the finale.

Destination Imagination is a challenge-based competition in creative problem-solving and critical thinking for children in grades K-12.
