• Worthington Park Library’s Homework Help Center is open Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The center has dedicated computers, courtesy printing of homework-related materials and library staff and volunteers to help students with school assignments.

• No art skills are required to participate in “Doodle It,” an art program for children in grades K-3. The workshop starts at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Old Worthington Library.

• The library is again participating in “Warm Up Worthington,” a program to create and donate afghans to charities in the Columbus area. A block bee will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Northwest Library. Participants will knit and crochet blocks to be sewn together during a Dec. 10 finishing bee. Participants should bring needles; yarn and templates will be provided. For other ways to get involved, call the library.

• Children in grades K-3 are invited for Halloween-themed stories, crafts and activities at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Northwest Library. Games will include Pumpkin Bowling and Pass the Vampire Bat.
