• Children can bring their teddy bears to Worthington Park Library for stories and activities at 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday, Dec. 1).

• Preschoolers and kindergartners can learn their colors and earn candy by traveling around a life-sized Candyland board at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Old Worthington Library.

• Students ages 12-18 will learn to transform plain paper into holiday ornaments during “Outrageous Origami,” to be held at all three libraries this month. The workshop will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Northwest Library; 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Worthington Park Library; and 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Old Worthington Library.

• Old Worthington Library will host a “Technology Petting Zoo” from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4. Examine e-Readers, iPads and more. Library staff will be available to answer questions.

• The next meeting of Worthington Libraries’ newest book discussion group, Decanted, will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at House Wine, 644 N. High St. The selected title is, “Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton and Me,” by Patti Boyd.

• “Room: A Novel” by Emma Donoghue will be the topic of the Dec. 7 meeting of Speaking Volumes. The group will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Old Worthington Library.

• Northwest Library will host, “A Nation in Debt: How Can We Pay Our Bills” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8.
