* Northwest Library and Worthington Park Library's homework help centers are open from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. The Old Worthington Library center is open from 3 to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Each center has dedicated computers, courtesy printing of homework-related materials and library staff and volunteers to help students with school assignments.

* The first installment of a three-part series for computer novices will start at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12. During the Old Worthington Library program Getting Started: Computer Basics, those attending will practice turning the machine on and off, mouse skills and file management. * "Art a la Carte" is the theme of the Saturday, Dec. 13, session of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) Punks. Early literacy activities are planned for preschoolers from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Northwest Library.

* The final Warm Up Worthington blanket bee is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Old Worthington Library. During the event, participants will join knitted and crocheted blocks together into finished blankets that will be donated to Columbus-area charities.

* Crafting the Memoir, the next session in Old Worthington Library's Mark My Words writers' series, will feature author Richard Gilbert. On Saturday, Dec. 13, Gilbert, who wrote Shepherd, which chronicles his family's struggle to make a living in sustainable agriculture, will share his tips for mastering the elements of memoir, including persona, scene and structure. * Teens are invited for an afternoon of role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons, Dungeon World or others at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. No experience is necessary to attend the Northwest Library event.

* A holiday ornament-making workshop for teens will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Worthington Park Library. All supplies will be provided.

* Wiggletime is a movement-based storytime planned for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16. There will be dancing and storytelling for under-5's at Old Worthington Library.
