Someone broke into a home on the 6600 block of East Schreiner Street on March 20 and stole a handgun and other items.

According to the report, the burglar entered the home while the owner was at dinner, sometime between 6 and 8 p.m.

Officers found a broken window in the kitchen, where the burglar is believed to have entered.

Cash, jewelry and a Smith & Wesson 9 mm handgun were missing.

Police have no suspects in the case.

In other recent reports from the Worthington Division of Police:

• Employees at Panera Bread, 7227 High St., called police after they began smelling an "odor" from the restroom and could hear a lighter clicking.

Police arrived and found burned foil, which is associated with heroin use.

• A student at Kilbourne Middle School, 50 E. Dublin Granville Road, reported his bicycle was stolen from the bicycle rack at the school sometime March 17.

• Four vehicles at Thomas Worthington High School, 300 W. Dublin Granville Road, were broken into sometime March 18.
