* Northwest Library and Worthington Park Library's homework help centers are open Mondays through Thursdays from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Old Worthington Library center is open from 3 to 6 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays. Each center has dedicated computers, courtesy printing of homework-related materials and library staff and volunteers to help students with school assignments.

* A new Worthington Park Library series will help children ages 2-5 develop ready-for-school skills. Play and Learn will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays through Nov. 19.

* "All About Pets" is the theme of the Saturday, Sept. 5, session of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) Punks. Early literacy activities are planned for preschoolers from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Northwest Library.

* Old Worthington Library will host an afternoon of activities, experiments and crafts based on the Spyology book at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5. Children ages 6-11 are invited.

* The library's English Conversation Group for new English language learners will meet at Old Worthington Library at 7 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 9 through Dec. 2. Library staff will help participants with basic English skills practice pronunciation and talking in English.

* Teens can make locker decorations, such as photo frames, magnets and note catchers, at Northwest Library on Thursday, Sept. 10. Rock Your Locker starts at 6:30 p.m.

* Those who have questions about planting, harvesting and saving seed, can ask local gardening experts at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10. A Growers' Gab event has been created on the library's Facebook page, facebook.com/worthingtonlibraries; to participate, click "like" (if not already following the library). The session is online only.
