* Janet Grissom: Life is Art, through March 13; free. Grissom's textured paintings are vibrant representations of a lifetime of observations. She uses her creative freedom to transform and enhance the subjects in her art creating fictional stories from her travels. Her layered landscapes draw inspiration from her experiences and create a sense of closeness to the colors as they permeate the canvas.

* Focus On, through March 13; free. An annual exhibition featuring selected artwork chosen by art teachers from local Worthington High Schools. This show sparks creative conversation and is centered around the students and their art.

* In Search of Beethoven, 7 p.m. Feb. 12; $12. The Friday night movie series 'In Search of' features some of the world's greatest composers, such as Chopin, Beethoven, Haydn and Mozart. Each film highlights one composer, depicting a narrative about their lives including interviews and performances by leading experts and performers.

* Arts Enchanted Evening, Feb. 19; $150. This year's theme for the MAC's premier fundraising event is "Classic TV." Creative cuisine and beverages as well as inventive entertainment -- all inspired by television's good old days -- will be featured. All proceeds benefit the creative and educational programming at the MAC.

* Coffee House Jams are held at the MAC from 6 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday. Grab a cup of coffee, fire up a laptop or just hang out in the gallery and listen to music. Ohio Fingerstyle Guitar Club plays on the first and third Tuesdays. Matt Ellis and the jazz orchestra "Standard Time" perform on the second Tuesday of every month. Adam Schlenker and his guitar take over on fourth Tuesdays.
