Someone broke into one of the cottages on the former United Methodist Children's Home site, 1033 High St., on the night of March 14.

According to police reports, someone broke in through a boarded window and discharged a fire extinguisher inside the cottage.

A hammer and a garden trowel were found by a nearby building, reports stated.

Police are investigating the case.

In other recent incident reports from the Worthington Division of Police:

* Sales staff at a business in the 700 block of West Granville Road found a bullet hole in the windshield of one of their vehicles.

According to reports, the incident could have occurred between March 9 and 16. Workers saw the hole and the bullet was recovered on one of the front seats.

* Someone broke the window of a vehicle parked at Phoenix Middle School, 2341 Snouffer Road, on the morning of March 19.

An MP3 player was stolen, reports stated. Witnesses reported seeing a silver vehicle with two men, including a heavily bearded driver, near the scene.
