* Chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, sheep and goats will be at Northwest Library Thursday, July 7, for a hands-on learning event. Bring the Farm to You starts at 6:30 p.m.

* Northwest Library's outdoor concert series continues on Friday, July 8, with the Randys. Coverstone is scheduled on July 29. Both concerts start at 7 p.m.; in the event of rain, they will be held inside the library.

* Teens are invited for an afternoon of role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons, Dungeon World or others on Saturday, July 9. No experience is necessary to attend the Northwest Library event, which starts at 2:30 p.m.

* A henna tattoo demonstration is planned for teens at Worthington Park Library at 4 p.m. Monday, July 11.

* Ages 6-8 will paint and craft flower-inspired artwork on Wednesday, July 13, at Worthington Park Library. Get Your Art On starts at 2:30 p.m.

* Summer workshops at Northwest Library and Worthington Park Library will help 6- to 11-year-olds keep math and reading skills sharp. The Northwest Library series will be held on Mondays through July 25 (except July 4), from 4 to 6 p.m. Worthington Park Library's Homework Help Center will be open on Tuesdays through Aug. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. Students can drop in or take activities home.

* On Monday, July 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., staff will offer reading suggestions on the library's Facebook page, facebook.com/worthingtonlibraries. Those who post the titles of the last three books they read will get instant recommendations for future favorites.

* Check out interactive tools -- like a Makey Makey keyboard kit, 3Doodler and more -- that combine technology, art and computer programming at Worthington Park Library on Tuesday, July 12. Ages 8 and up are invited to Tinker Tuesdays sessions, which start at 2 p.m.

* The library's Literary Libations book group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 12. Held at the Pub Out Back, 679-C High St., Worthington, those attending will discuss this month's selected title, The Martian by Andy Weir.

* Starting at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, teens will sample Japanese snacks at Old Worthington Library.

* The library's English Conversation Group for new English language learners will meet at Old Worthington Library at 7 p.m. Wednesdays through July 27. Library staff will help participants with basic English skills practice pronunciation and talking in English.

* Teens will learn basic survival tips, such as paracord braiding and how to cast a fishing line, at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at Northwest Library.

* Nicole Pallante, a local blogger and foodie, will share favorite recipes featuring locally-sourced ingredients on Thursday, July 14, at Old Worthington Library. Registration is required for A Local Choice, which starts at 7:15 p.m.
