A man claimed to be the victim of felonious assault at 12:05 a.m. Jan. 7 in the 400 block of East Columbus Street.

Police officers were sent to the scene on reports of a person who had a gun, according to Columbus Division of Police incident reports. Additional information about what transpired was not included in the report

In other recent area incident reports:

* A Lexus RX350, manufacturing date and estimated value unknown, was stolen between 10:05 p.m. Jan. 6 and 10:30 a.m. Jan. 7 from the 700 block of South Fifth Street.

* More than $9,400 worth of construction equipment was reported stolen between 10 a.m. Jan. 6 and 7:45 a.m. Jan. 9 from the 700 block of South High Street.

The victim told police someone cut the lock off of his company truck and stole a $4,500 dual-grade laser, $142 laser receiver, $100 circular saw, $450 framing hammer, $190 battery charger, $150 leaf blower, $3,100 jackhammer and $800 chipping hammer.

* Someone stole $4,500 worth of merchandise between 1 p.m. Jan. 7 and 7 a.m. Jan. 9 from a residence in the 400 block of East Beck Street.

Items reported stolen include two TVs, one worth $2,400 and the other valued at $500, a $500 speaker, $100 bottle of champagne and a $1,000 pearl necklace.

The suspect also caused $200 damage to a door and its frame.
