Someone kicked in the front door of the rental office at an apartment complex in the 2500 block of Mallards Landing Drive at 2:37 a.m. March 2. The burglar made off with an undetermined amount of rental receipts, according to the reporting officer. Damage to the door was estimated at $300.
In other Northland police reports:
* A 34-year-old woman called police at 4:20 p.m. March 1 to say that 50 minutes earlier, she had gotten into an argument with someone she didn't know, only to eventually realize the man "had a firearm on his person." The incident took place in the 1500 block of E. Dublin-Granville Road.
* An Arborwood Drive man, 50, filed a burglary report at 2:20 p.m. March 1. The victim said his apartment in the 5700 block of the street had been entered through a window sometime after 7 p.m. Feb. 24. Items removed from the residence included an $800 television and a gaming system valued at $150.
* A 24-year-old woman said she was assaulted by her boyfriend at 1 a.m. Feb. 28 in her apartment in the 4900 block of Kingshill Drive. She said they got into an argument while drinking with a third person and that he "punched and smacked her several times, causing redness to her nose and right side of her face." The boyfriend left, but then tried to return because he had left his cellphone. The woman said he kicked her door when she wouldn't let him in.
* A 24-year-old man said he was beaten at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 24in the 2200 block of Morse Road. He said the suspect, whom he identified, caused him harm by "repeatedly striking the victim with a closed fist," the report said. "Victim had noticeable abrasions and swelling on his forehead and face," the report said. The officer noted that the victim refused medical attention.
