The weather isn't the only thing staying hot this winter -- your Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce events calendar is heating up in March.

Fresh off the changing of the gavel, our new chairman of the board, Gwen Nichols, with Nichols & Co. CPAs, said it best at the annual meeting and awards dinner, "The chamber offers 40-plus events a year, a little something for everyone. You never know how one event, one introduction might help you grow."

Our quarterly membership meeting, "Smart City: What's the big idea?" is coming up. This March 14 luncheon will take place at Embassy Suites Hotel, 2700 Corporate Exchange Drive, and will feature speakers from the Columbus Partnership and city of Columbus. The focus will be on the effects of how we do business and transportation in central Ohio in the next few years.

A Business After Hours is set for 5:30 p.m. March 16 at Fairfield Inn & Suites, 9000 Worthington Road. Chamber members are invited for networking and complimentary food and beverage. There is a $5 fee for nonmembers.

Rounding out the month on March 23 will be the second in a three-part series, Young Professionals Round-Table Breakfast, featuring Jason Block, president of HOMAGE. Wake up and join us to hear Jason's story of growing the brand. Be part of the roundtable discussion beginning at 7:30 a.m. at Fairfield Inn & Suites, 9000 Worthington Road.

After tallying the responses from our annual membership survey, 83 percent of chamber members noted the No. 1 benefit of joining the chamber is networking. Be sure not to miss this month's events and experience the power of networking.
