A man told Grandview Heights police a jacket and a book bag containing a laptop computer and a tablet computer were stolen March 6 from his car while it was parked in the 800 block of Bobcat Avenue.
The theft occurred between 9 and 10:30 p.m. that day, reports said.

* Police charged a Grove City man with a felony count of receiving stolen property March 1 after reportedly recovering a stolen handgun from his car.
An officer observed Dustin R. Jones, 34, of Sweet Creek Court speeding on West Goodale Boulevard near Kramer Avenue. Police stopped the car on West Goodale at Bobcat Avenue.
The officer discovered Jones' license was suspended and arrested him.
The handgun was discovered during an inventory of Jones' car. The serial number on the gun was scratched off, but officers were able to identify the weapon and confirm it had been stolen out of Columbus, according to reports.
Jones also was charged with misdemeanor counts of possessing a defaced firearm, driving under suspension and speeding. He was taken to the Franklin County jail.
* A representative of a business in the 2200 block of Cardigan Avenue reported March 8 the company recently terminated an employee who had been accused of stealing money from the business.
