Westerville has several Easter-themed events coming up in the next week, although one tradition, the Underwater Egg Hunt, is already over.

An Evening with the Easter Bunny is set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 8 at the Westerville Community Center, 350 N. Cleveland Ave. Children ages 8 and younger, accompanied by a parent, are invited to join the Easter Bunny for an evening of crafts and dinner.

The cost is $10 for each child, $5 for each adult.

The Flashlight Glow-in-the-Dark Egg Hunt, for adults age 18 and older only, will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. April 14 at Heritage Park at the Antrim Shelter, 60 N. Cleveland Ave. Participants will search for eggs to claim candy and prizes with children allowed.

The cost is $5 per adult.

The Westerville Bunny Hop 5K & Spring Eggstravaganza will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. April 15 at the Westerville Sports Complex, 325 N. Cleveland Ave.

Starting the fun will be the Westerville Parks Foundation Bunny Hop 5K at 8 a.m. This is a family-friendly event for runners and walkers of all ages. The course begins at the Sports Complex and runs through trails at Heritage Park. Participants will take home a finishers' medal, T-shirt, a chocolate treat and a photo with the Easter Bunny.

A 100-meter children's dash starts at 9 a.m. for children age 7 and under.

Funds raised from the Bunny Hop 5K will help the Westerville Parks Foundation to maintain Westerville's parks and ensure that residents can participate in recreation programming regardless of their ability to pay.

A Kidz Zone will open at 9 a.m. to provide entertainment before the egg hunt. Inflatables, carnival games, a petting zoo, music, crafts and more will be available to those under the age of 17 for $5. Tickets can be purchased at the event.

The Spring Eggstravaganza egg hunt, offering more than 8,000 eggs, will be held at the Westerville Sports Complex. The first hunt, open to children ages 2 and younger with parents, begins promptly 10 a.m. Areas for ages 3-10 will be sectioned off on different fields for hunting at 10:30 a.m. This is a rain-or-shine event, sponsored by the Lions Club of Westerville.
