The sun was shining for the New Albany Community Events Board's Spring Egg Hunt on April 15 at New Albany High School's Eagle Stadium.

Eggs were scattered on the field and also dropped by helicopter for the hundreds in attendance. Additional festivities included balloon animals, face painting and inflatable bounce houses.

New Albany resident Lyndsay Theibert said she and her 7-month-old son, Nash, attended the event for the first time.

"He just learned how to crawl, so we figured he could maybe like find an egg or two," she said.
