A 31-year-old woman said she was assaulted in the 8600 block of Summit View Place when she went there to pick up her children at 4:30 p.m. April 17.
The victim said the person with whom she had left the children would not let her inside.
"(The victim) stated that the suspect grabbed her by her throat and pushed her back away from his front door," according to the Columbus police report.
"The responding officer did not see any evidence or signs of assault on the victim."
In other recent Columbus Division of Police incident reports from the northwest area:
* A representative of a store in the 5800 block of Sawmill Road filed a report April 18 at 6:30 p.m. accusing an employee of having taken money from his register on several occasions. The total amount involved was $400.
* An unlocked sliding glass door provided entry for a burglar at a first-floor apartment in the 5400 block of Hayden Mill Lane.
The incident was reported at 9:14 a.m. April 18. The victim, a 25-year-old man, said a $300 stereo speaker was removed between 11 a.m. and noon the previous day.
* Approximately 15 pairs of shoes valued at $300 were among the items stolen in a burglary that took place in the 2500 block of Sandbury Boulevard between March 27 and April 4.
The incident was not reported until 11:30 a.m. April 16.
The 34-year-old victim said other items removed during that time period included around 10 handbags worth $500, a clock, a coat, a vacuum cleaner and a safe.
* Items valued at $830 were stolen after an "unforced entry" at a residence in the 7900 block of Boothbay Court that was reported April 14 at 9:18 a.m.
The victim, a 48-year-old man, said a television set, tablet computer, gaming system and cell phone were taken sometime between March 8 and 14.
