To the Editor:

The hazardous waste collection event organized by the city of Dublin and the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio April 22 was a total shambles.

We waited in the line of cars stretching back nearly to Frantz Road to reach the drop-off at Ashland Chemical Inc., 5200 Blazer Parkway.

It took just under two hours of waiting. Why was there in practice only one line for dropping off the items?

Surely such an experience means people will be less willing to drop off such waste in the future, with all that that implies for the environment.
