Two mountain bikes valued at $5,000 combined were reported stolen at 1:53 a.m. June 9 from a residence in the first block of East Deshler Avenue.
The victim told Columbus police she woke up to her security alarm sounding and later found several items missing, including a mountain bike valued at $3,000, another worth $2,000, a $400 car key, $300 purse, $200 wallet and identification, according to Columbus Division of police incident reports.

• A woman woke up at 7:50 a.m. June 9 to the sound of someone inside her house in the 400 block of Thurman Avenue.
Police said they discovered a screen in a downstairs window had been removed and the front door was unlocked. No property was believed to have been stolen.
• Between 7 p.m. June 8 and 8 a.m. June 9, someone tried to break into a residence in the 100 block of East Whittier Street.
The suspect caused $500 in damage to the front door, but did not steal anything, according to reports.
• Between noon and 4:57 p.m. June 12, someone broke a window of a house in the 900 block of Jaeger Street, causing $350 worth of damage.
• Assorted tools valued at $30 were stolen at 12:42 a.m. June 12 from the 1000 block of South Fourth Street.
The victim told police he saw the dome light on in his truck and he observed someone closing the vehicle’s door. The victim said he then yelled at the suspect, who fled on foot.
