One of Chicago's most recognizable pizza chains opens its first Ohio location next week.

Deep-dish pizza chain Giordano's officially opens its Columbus location Monday, June 26, at 2137 Polaris Parkway with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon.

The chain is taking over a space formerly occupied by Buffalo Wild Wings and will become its first Ohio location.

Giordano's will have locations in eight states, including more than 50 locations throughout Chicago and its suburbs. Indianapolis was the closest the chain reached toward Ohio.

The restaurant is known for its deep-dish pizza, but also offers thin-crust pizza, sandwiches and other dishes. The restaurant applied for its liquor license in 2016.
