Joe Boudreau, a veteran in the financial industry, and Cille Childers, a longtime Johnstown business owner, have been named manager and branch manager, respectively, at the new Hopewell Federal Credit Union that’s scheduled to open this fall in Johnstown.

Boudreau is the branch manager of Hopewell’s Heath office at 501 Hopewell Drive.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the community of Johnstown,” he said. “During my recent participation in the Fireman’s Festival Parade, I had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. Each person was more welcoming than the next.

“I look forward to being there full time this fall and providing those in this area and surrounding communities with an opportunity to get ahead financially.”

He has 11 years of financial-industry experience, including nearly nine years with Hopewell. He has held positions as a member-service associate, assistant branch manager and branch manager.

He achieved his certification from Credit Union National Association as a certified credit-union financial counselor.

Prior to joining Hopewell in 2002, Boudreau received a degree in business from Muskingum University (formerly Muskingum College).

As the Johnstown branch manager, he said, he will work on expanding membership by providing strong member service and knowledge of products and services available and by being an active member of the community.

Childers has been the owner and barista at the Hot Spot Coffee House in Johnstown for the past 12 years.

The Johnstown resident will serve members with a variety of banking needs, including mortgages, she said.

She also will be focused on the needs of the community, she said, and looks forward to helping members get ahead financially later this year.

The new Hopewell branch will be a 2,100-square-foot building at 635 W. Coshocton St.

Beth Kelly, Hopewell marketing and business-development director, said construction is going well and the branch tentatively is expected to open in October.

The new location will be the third office in Hopewell’s portfolio, serving Licking, Franklin and Delaware counties. Its members own it.

Hopewell provides a range of financial services, including savings and checking accounts, loan products and business accounts.
