The Delaware Area Career Center may have found a buyer for its north campus.
The DACC’s board Thursday, July 20, approved the sale of the 64-acre property off state Route 521 in Brown Township to Delaware County. The county’s board of commissioners is expected to discuss and vote on the $1.77 million purchase at its meeting Thursday, July 27, according to a news release from Delaware County.
The DACC continues to use the north campus, but it eventually plans to consolidate all operations at its south campus off U.S. Route 23 in Liberty Township after the completion of a $45 million expansion and renovation project.
County officials have not yet disclosed their plans for the north campus site, which includes a 147,000-square-foot school building constructed in 1974.
