A 31-year-old Worthington man recently was arrested after allegedly attacking his father.
According to Worthington Division of Police reports, the man used a utility knife in an incident on the first block of West Southington Avenue on the afternoon of Aug. 2.
The man reportedly "did not inflict injury" with the knife, but eventually punched his father in the head and threatened his mother with "serious bodily harm."
Officers arrested the man and took him to the Franklin County jail, where he was charged with two counts of domestic violence, assault, menacing and aggravated menacing.
In other recent Worthington police incident reports:
* A Worthington resident reported that a vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a residence on the 5700 block of Crescent Court between Aug. 1 and 2.
* On Aug. 3 and 4, two Worthington residents reported having payroll checks stolen and forged.
The police division has received dozens of similar reports this year and the thefts are being investigated by the local office of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
* An unidentified man and woman allegedly stole $466 worth of energy drinks from a gas station on the 7100 block of North High Street at 12:30 a.m. July 31.
