A video camera captured an image of a robbery suspect at a Wendy’s restaurant, and Whitehall police hope someone can identify the man.

At 8:40 p.m. Aug. 29, the man allegedly entered the Wendy’s at 3747 E. Main St., approached the counter and implied he had a gun.

He demanded and took money from the register and ran away on foot, said Whitehall police Deputy Chief Dan Kelso.

Police say they think he is a local resident.

“We believe that he is from this area and there are people who will recognize him,” said Detective Lee McKittrick.

The suspect is described as a black male, nearly bald but with scruffy facial hair.

He had a medium build, is about 6 feet tall and appears to be 30 to 40 years old.

Police consider him a suspect in an Aug. 14 robbery at a nearby Walgreens.

Anyone who recognizes him or who has information is asked to call Whitehall police at 614-237-6333.
