A woman told police she was at a food bank in the 5700 block of Karl Road on Sept. 27 when a man came in at 8:02 p.m. and stole her purse.
The victim said the $70 bag contained a $500 tablet computer, a $300 cellphone, her driver's license and credit cards.
In other Northland-area police reports:
* A man and two juveniles were issued trespass warnings at 6 p.m. Sept. 28 after police officers said they observed them entering a condemned hotel at 4900 Sinclair Road. The adult suspect was seen in possession of items taken from the property, according to the report. "Because there was no victim and the building is condemned, officers ascertained this was not a burglary," the reporting officer noted. The juveniles were turned over to their mothers.
* In a report filed at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 28, officers indicated their investigation of an alleged assault of two juveniles by teachers at a day care center in the 4500 block of Heaton Road showed the accusations to be unfounded.
One of the victims told police he and a classmate were assaulted by teachers at the center they attend before school.
"Officer discussed incident with victim with the assistant principal and then talked to one of the accused teachers," the report stated.
"The accused teacher does not even have the victims in her class and the other accused teachers are in the day care center only in the afternoons and evenings. The mother of the second victim arrived at the school and stated that both victims had gotten in trouble for bullying."
