Darby Creek Day, 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Indian Ridge Bulletin Board. Guests will enjoy seining, noodling for mussels, canoeing, fly-fishing and looking for live animals along Big Darby Creek. Representatives from organizations working to protect the Darby Watershed also will attend.
Preschoolers: Those First Falls, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Oct. 10 at the Ranger Station. Preschoolers will romp in the leaves and discover the importance of trees.

Morning Coffee and Wildlife Watch, 8 to 10 a.m. Oct. 7 at the Nature Center. Guests will view animals through the nature center windows and enjoy a cup of java.
GPS Scavenger Hunt, 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Nature Center. Guests will learn about GPS units and test their skills to find treasure in the park.
Homeschoolers: Transformers in the Wild, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Beech Maple Lodge. Ages 6-12 will discover which animals change their bodies into something else and why.
Preschoolers: Bats, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Beech Maple Lodge. Preschoolers will learn about these flying mammals through stories, activities and crafts.

Drying Food, 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Farmhouse. Guests will learn about drying as a way to preserve food and see how a 19th century food evaporator works.
Fall Harvest, 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Farmhouse. Guests will help with seasonal activities as the farm prepares for winter.
