A Worthington man told Columbus police he was slapped in the face at 1:05 p.m. Oct. 10 by a woman with whom he was arguing in the 3200 block of North High Street.

The victim said he confronted the woman after she allegedly backed into his vehicle, at which point "she slapped him with an open hand one time on the right side of his face," according to the responding officer. The suspect then got back into her vehicle and drove away.

A bystander witnessed the assault, reports said. The victim declined medical attention.

The vehicle's owner said it was taken after 9 p.m. the previous day. He added he may have left the key -- valued at $500 -- inside the car.
