Following are Columbus and Franklin County Metropolitan Park District programs for Nov. 23-30.

Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway

Movie Matinee: My Life as a Turkey, 11 a.m. Nov. 24 at the Nature Center. Guests will watch a PBS film that explores when people and animals unwittingly become more closely linked than nature normally allows.

Feed the Stream, 2 p.m. Nov. 25 at the Nature Center. Guests will help serve a meal to the creatures in the living stream.

Ancient Avenue, 1 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Indian Ridge Bulletin Board. Guests will explore the Fort Ancient culture, hike to one of its prehistoric mounds and learn to throw an atlatl dart.

Blacklick Woods Metro Park

6975 E. Livingston Ave., Reynoldsburg

Photo Scavenger Hunt, 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 24 at the Nature Center. Guests will use their smartphone or digital camera as part of a scavenger hunt and possibly win a prize.

Barking Breakfast, 9 a.m. Nov. 25 at the Nature Center. Guests will enjoy tasty snacks with their dog and take a 3-mile walk.

Tree Identification, 2 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Ash Grove Picnic Area. Guests will learn how to identify trees on a 0.5-mile walk.

Story Time, 10 a.m. Nov. 29 at the Nature Center. Guests will hear wildlife stories and create a craft.

Blendon Woods Metro Park

4265 E. Dublin Granville Road, Westerville

Turkey Display, 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Nature Center. Guests will discover the history and life of the bird that became a symbol of Thanksgiving Day.

Preschoolers: Ready for Winter, 9:30 and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Nov. 27 at the Nature Center. Preschoolers will watch a puppet show, discover what animals are doing to get ready for the cold season and make a craft.

Rocky Fork Metro Park

7180 Walnut St., Westerville

Birds for Beginners, 1 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Millstone Picnic Area. Guests will search for feathered friends on a slow-paced, 1.5-mile walk. Checklists and binoculars will be provided.

Scioto Audubon Metro Park

400 W. Whittier St., Columbus

Pre-K Storytime, 10 a.m. Thursdays and Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center, 505 W. Whittier St. Bring little ones for a nature-inspired story or two.

Weekly Bird Hike, 10 a.m. Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center. Guests will search for birds in the park.

Slate Run Living Historical Farm

1375 state Route 674 N., Canal Winchester

Indoor Amusements, 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 24-26 at the Farmhouse. Guests will try indoor games and toys and challenge their mind with 19th century puzzles.
