A holiday crafts fair that will be held in conjunction with the Bexley Area Chamber of Commerce Holiday Shop Hop will benefit youth programs at a local church.

The Yuletide Arts and Crafts Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Christ Lutheran Church, 2314 E. Main St.

"The proceeds from this event will be used toward our youth ministries," said Pamela Garlinghouse, one of the show's organizers.

"This year, it will help fund our high school youth group's trip to the National Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas. At this gathering, the youth have a designated day of service in which our community will be helping their community. By patronizing this event, you will be helping, too," she said.

The show will include 70 vendors from around Ohio and across the nation. The event will include a silent auction, a bake sale and a cafeteria-style lunch that will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Yuletide Event Committee, which organizes the show, is hoping to draw attendees from throughout central Ohio, consistent with the church's congregation, Garlinghouse said.

"Our congregation is welcoming those not only from Bexley, but from around the greater Columbus area, because that is where our congregants reside," she said. "They hail from Bexley to Reynoldsburg, Canal Winchester, around to Gahanna, Westerville and Dublin. They come from Plain City, Delaware and even the village of Ostrander, which is in both Union and Delaware counties."
