An attempted burglary was reported at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 26 in the 800 block of Bruck Street.

The victim told Columbus police he heard people breaking into his garage by damaging the overhead garage door.

When he went to investigate the suspect exited through another door of the garage and jumped over a fence.

The victim was unable to provide a description of the suspect and nothing was believed to have been stolen, according to Columbus Division of Police incident reports.

In other recent incident reports from the area:

* A $200 Dodge Caravan, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen between 11 p.m. Nov. 23 and 7:24 p.m. Nov. 24 in the 800 block of South Fifth Street.

* Between midnight and 1:30 a.m. Nov. 26, three tennis rackets valued at $300 total, a $200 tennis bag, $30 worth of tennis balls and a $200 gold necklace and gold cross were stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of East Columbus Street.

* Between 2 and 5 p.m. Nov. 29, someone damaged the door of a detached garage in the 400 block of Reinhard Avenue.

The victim said she did not notice anything missing and he had secured the door from the inside.

* A video-gaming console and accessories were stolen during a burglary between 7:06 and 8:55 a.m. Nov. 29 from a house in the 300 block of East Mithoff Street.

The victim said the burglar entered the house from a side window.
