Hilliard City Councilman Joe Erb said he will resign from his seat at the end of the year.

Erb made the announcement to his fellow council members during a Dec. 4 work session to discuss the 2018 budget.

He said he had not submitted his official letter of resignation to the city.

Erb said increasing work responsibilities are a factor and he plans to move outside the city limits.

His term ends Dec. 31, 2019.
