The Village Singers are putting out a call for vocalists to sing in the group's spring show, "Just Down the Road," to be held May 19 and 20.
Rehearsals begin at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, in the German Village Meeting Haus, 588 S. Third St.
The group accepts all vocal ranges, said Wayne Owens, founder and general manager of the group.
Membership fees are $25, $5 for students.
The money pays for the cost of purchasing sheet music and putting on the show, Owens said.
The spring show is "musical trip across the country," Owens said.
"There's a lot of music that fits into that genre," he said.
Pub Golf Tour
Owens is tour director for the 11th Pub Golf Tour, a fundraiser for the Village Singers.
Cost is $100 for a team of four.
The season starts Feb. 6, at Jimmy V's Grill & Pub.
The tour will continue on consecutive Tuesdays at Tara Hall (the clubhouse for the Ancient Order of Hibernians), Dempsey's Food & Spirits, Germania Singing and Sport Society, Hey Hey Bar & Grill and Gresso's.
Each of the six pubs will create its own miniature golf course.
The teams will vie for commemorative bobblehead figurines.
