Two unidentified individuals robbed a Westerville restaurant at gunpoint on the morning of Jan. 18.

According to city spokeswoman Christa Dickey, Westerville received a report of an armed robbery at Chipotle, 63 Maxtown Road, just before 8 a.m.

According to the Chipotle website, the restaurant was not scheduled to open until 10:45 a.m.

Dickey said police are not releasing any further details at this time.

In a 911 call, a manager of the restaurant contacted a Westerville police dispatcher to report that “my restaurant was just robbed at gunpoint.”

She said no one was injured, but “somehow they got in the back door. It was locked. … It won’t lock now.”

The caller also described the suspects.

“There were two of them,” she told the dispatcher. “Two black females dressed in all black … with masks over their face.”

The manager described the suspects as shorter than 5 feet 5 inches tall and likely in their 20s.
