A contingent of New Albany natives will rock Columbus later this week.

Love U, an alternative rock duo consisting of brothers Nick and Joel Lorenz of New Albany, will perform Friday, Feb. 2, at Rumba Cafe, 2507 Summit St. in Columbus, according to a press release about the show.

Nick Lorenz, who performs lead vocals and plays guitar, bass and keyboard, is a 2015 New Albany High School graduate. He is a student at Nashville's Belmont University, where he majors in songwriting.

His younger brother, Joel, plays the drums and is a sophomore at New Albany High School.

The other scheduled acts, the Daytimers and Red, feature lead singers – Blake Bergere and the eponymous Red (real name Evan Kovach) – who also are New Albany graduates, the release said.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $5 at loveuband.com. The show is for all ages, but anyone under 21 must pay an additional $2 at the door, according to the website.
