The list of candidates to be Reynoldsburg’s next police chief has been narrowed to five.

They are:

• Kimberly Nuesse, police chief for the village of Minerva Park since 2011

• David Plesich, a former lieutenant in the detectives bureau with the Hilliard Division of Police and a patrol officer with the police department in Charleston, South Carolina, since June 2016.

• Ronald Gray, retired deputy chief of the Homeland Security Division for the Columbus Division of Police.

• Jeffrey K. Scott, chief of Police at the Notre Dame College Police Department in South Euclid, Ohio, since 2013.

• William Early, longtime Reynoldsburg police officer, now a lieutenant with the department and its current acting chief.

A final-selection committee is expected to interview the five Feb. 13 and 14 before recommending three finalists to Mayor Brad McCloud, who will then choose the next police chief.
