A 45-year-old Bexley man was arrested in Worthington after allegedly using a stolen vehicle to flee from police.

The man was stopped by a Worthington Division of Police officer for a traffic infraction near High Street and Selby Boulevard at noon Feb. 5.

As an officer approached the vehicle, the man fled from the scene. According to reports, the officer did not pursue the man out of "public-safety concerns."

An investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen from a nearby dealership when the man allegedly used false information to take the car for a drive.

The man was arrested Feb. 7 by the Columbus Division of Police's fraud and forgery division.

He has been charged through Franklin County Municipal Court with identity fraud and receiving stolen property.

* A resident reported someone smashed the window of her vehicle while it was parked on the 600 block of West Wilson Bridge Road the afternoon of Feb. 4.

A laptop and tablet computer were reported stolen.

* A generator was reported stolen from a parked vehicle on the 400 block of Schrock Road between Feb. 3 and 5.
