Two burglaries recently were reported in the German Village area.

An ATM containing $1,000 was stolen at 4:13 a.m. Feb. 9 from a business in the 100 block of Thurman Avenue, according to a Columbus Division of Police report.

In the other burglary, at 5:18 a.m. Feb. 12, someone smashed the window of a business, causeing $500 in damage, in the 900 block of South High Street and stole $5 in change and $50 from a cash register.

The suspect was captured on video pulling up to the scene in a later-model vehicle with no back window.

In other area police reports, two cars were reported stolen.

* A $1,000 Chevrolet C10, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen between 5 p.m. Feb. 4 and 11 a.m. Feb. 10 from the 400 block of Thurman Avenue.

The victim said the key was not in the vehicle at the time.

* A second vehicle, a $5,000 Ford Ranger, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen between 10 p.m. Feb. 9 and 8 a.m. Feb. 10 from a business in the 1400 block of Parsons Avenue.

The victim said the key might have been in the truck at the time.

* Various items valued at $500 were stolen from a vehicle between 5 p.m. Feb. 12 and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 13 at the intersection of East Sycamore Street and Macon Alley.

The victim said the car was locked at the time.

* At 12:55 p.m. Feb. 12, someone stole a $200 speaker and $180 wireless headset from a business in the 900 block of South High Street.
